We are looking for a highly talented and self-motivated lead product manager to join our Risk product team to lead and define the Data Strategy for Risk management at eBay and build the next generation Risk Data platform. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, you will be part of the Risk Foundation Team and will be instrumental in driving data platform capabilities to address ever-changing Risk trends including but not limited to real time data, positive/negative lists, secure data repositories, account and network linking, data labels for ML models, data mart etc

Lead Product Manager - Risk Data Platform
Location: San Jose
What will this person do:
Lead and Drive the short and long term vision, strategy and development of data platforms for Risk at ebay leading a team of product managers across US/China
Synthesize short and long term data product ideas from cross-functional teams and other Risk counterparts like Identity, Policy, Policy Operations, Rule writers and Decision Sciences
Drive development of Graph Database based Account Linking capabilities and its adoption for Risk use cases. Possibly, You will also get to shape the ML Infrastructure needed for Risk. Both of these require significant cross functional and cross organization collaboration skills working with eBay’s Core Technology teams
Drive prioritization, product backlog grooming and roadmap creation with the team of data product PMs
Partner closely with Product Analytics team to collect data insights to measure improvements made to your products
Be the voice of and Evangelize the Risk data platform and capabilities across the Payments/Risk org and broader eBay organization
Monitor industry trends in emerging fraud trends in conjunction with cross-functional partners to identify new data product opportunities
Be a consultant/mentor for junior PMs in the team working on data and fraud detection products
Role Requirements - The Basics:
Minimum of 10+ years of Product Management experience with expertise in one or more of following areas - Risk, Payments or e-Commerce
Bachelor’s degree, MS/MBA preferred
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic environment using a data-driven and analytical approach.
Ability to lead multiple complex projects across cross-functional, distributed teams and multiple client groups
Experience with product development lifecycle, process flows and working in an agile environment
Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to influence senior management across different organizations
Ability to earn credibility of and work with senior engineers and engineering leaders
Ability to articulate and present everything from early concepts to full product launch plans to your team, as well as to external and executive audiences and defend your Point of View in the face of disagreement
Standout colleague with empathy for our customers (both internal and external) and desire to understand their needs, wants and concerns
Ability to influence both Product and Engineering teams outside of their own organization
Self-starter with the ability to present/assert/pursue independent ideas and drive them to execution with minimal mentorship; think strategically and execute tactically
Previous experience in Graph Systems for Fraud Detection/Risk Management and/or Building Machine Learning Infrastructure is a big plus
