The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Finance Manager, Focus Categories Finance to join our team supporting the Global Marketplaces team. Based in San Jose, CA, you will partner closely with the General Managers for our Luxury Focus Category. The key categories of Sneakers, Watches, Handbags and Jewelry have unique customer problems to solve, and this role will play a critical role in enabling customer satisfaction, topline sales, and category profitability. If you are customer-focused, analytical, excel at building impactful relationships, and have a keen sense of accountability, we would love to hear from you!  The is a diverse role requiring an agile professional with the ability to drive strategy and dive into the details on a daily basis.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be the ”CFO” for the Luxury categories, providing analytical and actionable insights from gross merchandise volume down to operating margin, enabling greater profitability and faster/better decisions.
  • Partner and collaborate with General Managers for the Luxury categories to identify and assist in the development of analytical frameworks which evaluate monetization and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Support all financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes for the Luxury Focus Category, including partnering with Analytics to predict topline sales, analyzing and forecasting cost of sales as well as category headcount and people cost.
  • Work with global cross-functional teams and analysts on ad-hoc business projects
  • Perform deep functional-based analyses and provide recommendations
  • Govern and drive compliance and high-quality execution with overall corporate finance timelines and processes, monitoring GAAP compliance and strong financial control processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7+ years' experience of increasing responsibility in finance partnership roles with a bias towards quantitative analysis and commercial partnering.
  • Strong Excel skills – candidate should be comfortable with and competent in financial modeling and working with large amounts of data; SAP experience a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork, initiative, and integrity
  • Proven track record of working up and across the organization to drive results across a highly matrixed organization.
  • Highly analytical, strategic, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to excellence and a passion for understanding the business.
  • Bachelor's degree required, MS/MBA a plus
