THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Sr. Systems Administrator will be responsible for provisioning and maintaining Solaris and Linux systems supporting database and application layer services for production, staging and development environments. The successful candidate must be a self-starter who can effectively communicate; document projects and issues, develop action plans and deliver projects on time.  

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

  • 5 + years Solaris 10
  • Shell scripting experience
  • Exposure to Oracle Applications
  • Experience in imaging Solaris servers from the ground up
  • Hands on experience in following: Image servers, Solaris zones, thread dumps, RAM usage, troubleshooting, Oracle service requests

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installs, configuring and managing Solaris OS and database clustering for Oracle databases
  • Daily support across a wide range of technical issues
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of production systems hardware and software
  • Troubleshooting
  • Debugging Solaris strings
  • Manage and maintain servers
