Business Analyst

Location:  Austin, Texas

Department: Finance

The Business Analyst conducts extensive analyses of rich data and, in the process, develops a deep understanding of the functionality. Analysts are a part of a global analytics organization that generates insights into what will make the biggest impact on our community. The Business Analyst is part of a team that goes above and beyond, consulting on product design and customer experience, allowing the Analyst to strengthen their analytic, leadership, and presentation skills, and gain exposure to a wide variety of functional teams within the company. Responsibilities

  • Ariba Buyer Portal Administrator for Procurement Operations
  • Integrate high volume suppliers on the Ariba network through EDI, cXML, csv file transfers
  • Analyze PRs or POs that are stuck in the process and push them through the Ariba system; identify areas of opportunity or automation to streamline the process
  • Track tickets and enhancements with the OCIO and ASM teams; provide testing and input
  • Coordinate M&A and NLE activity for Procurement Operations
  • Identify opportunities for RPA, write scripts and work with OCIO team to implement solutions
  • Test new releases for systems, track issues and provide recommendations for UAT sign off
  • Provide input for RTB in order to prioritize enhancements, write BRDs and review/sign off on FSDs
  • Compile and distribute weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for KPIs and SLAs
  • Identify risk-related trends and partner with stakeholders to address further upstream
  • Handle high level escalations and work in department queues to maintain an expert level understanding of workflows and trends: act as workflow specialist, particularly related to tools
  • Identify and pursue process improvement ideas by identifying root cause issues, with the goal of generating savings and gaining efficiencies
  • Complete department projects for management, department, and partners as assigned

  • Intellectual curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and comfort with ambiguity
  • High energy and a desire to work in a results-oriented, fast growth environment
  • Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities

    Job Requirements

  • Strong communication skills and experience distilling and presenting complex quantitative analysis into action-oriented recommendations
  • Proficient in end to end analytics for the S2P process with a focus on the PR to PO process
  • Expert Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUP, functions), PowerPoint skills, and database query skills (e.g., SQL); Tableau, Ariba, SRM, SAP ECC, Ariba Catalogs, EDI, cXML, and RPA experience
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
