Sr. Developer Evangelist Manager
eBay seeks a seasoned Developer evangelist/Product Marketing manager to join the Developer Ecosystem team. This individual is knowledgeable and passionate about the eBay brand as well as the different global partners we support that using our various APIs and more. In this role, she or he will engage and grow eBay’s developer community, generating awareness by effectively communicating how and why our suite of products provides significant value. The ideal candidate is highly strategic and experienced in B2B, B2C marketing. She or he is a scrappy, results-focused self-starter who applies his/her understanding of developer ecosystem, industry trends, competitive landscapes, and analytics to impact product sentiment and drive engagement. The successful candidate has a track record of advancing marketing objectives from start to completion with minimal guidance, defining key performance indicators and reporting relevant success metrics. He or she must be team oriented and accustomed to working effectively across teams, disciplines, and external communication to establish alignment, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration. He or she instinctively uplevels his/her responsibilities and readily communicates with senior management. This person is both creative and analytic, able to recognize and convert data into actionable stories. Strong team leadership, project management, prioritization, efficiency, and attention to detail are a must.
Develop content and brand strategy for our developer audience across a variety of experiences, including community events, email evangelism, conferences and social activity.
Build integrated digital media outreach (communications and adoptions) for developer products and initiatives.
Work with developer community teams to build compelling narratives about how developers use our tools and APIs to build amazing products.
Support naming of developer products and programs.
Champion our developer products in person and online by presenting at conferences, blogging, videos, writing technical tutorials and other similar activities.
Setting up and building our social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube)
Advocate for developers internally and influence eBay developer product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, PR, Marketing, Business Development and other cross-functional teams.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in PM/PMM/Developer evangelism at a technology company.
Working knowledge of APIs and tools and comfortable dealing with developers use cases
Experience working closely with Product, Engineering and Developers.
Experience with leading large, global projects and campaigns.
Experience with E-commerce company
Knowledge of programming languages, back-end application development and developer's use cases with APIs and tool.
Excellent written and oral communication with ability to present product narratives, brand experience and creative insight.
