Our office campus is co-located with the eBay Marketplace and ebay Kleinanzeigen offices in Dreilinden, closed to Berlin-Wannsee.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a new, innovative product and we are looking for you as a Senior Business Analyst (f/m/d).

We are looking for a pioneer business analyst shaping the structure how we embed analytics within our cross-functional teams.

The role will take a data-driven approach to continuously deep dive into our health metrics that are critical to our business success.

Curious, analytical, hypothesis-driven and fluent with data tools and sources, you will challenge our understanding of our B2B customers: You will be a key contributor to what do they want, what do they like, what does not work - you name it !

You will be a passionate team player to coach peers on how to be more data-driven and at the same time drive your own analytics projects to make us better.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Enable large cross functional teams (from Product Managers to  Tech Teams to Business Owners) to foster data-driven decision making
  • Be a real analytical ambassador through hypothesis-driven iterative testing to achieve the best possible B2B customer experience
  • Strive for best-in-class data analytics to create actionable insights (e.g. performance of all our products, segments of customers that buy or use our offers)
  • Share and present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders (cross-functional peers and business leadership teams)
  • Collaborate within the analytics community (locally and globally) to grow yourself together with experts and to align and drive best practises in the eBay classifieds group

Your Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business, Engineering or other quantitative field
  • Very good communication (written/verbal) and presentation skills in English and German
  • High proficiency in Presentation Tools (e.g. PowerPoint) and delivering effective presentations
  • At least 3 years track record (or equivalent) in using data to facilitate product and business decisions
  • Experience in manipulating large data sets, interpreting data trends and using a multitude of disparate data sources and tools
  • Strong knowledge of tracking logic & tools focused on frontend tracking and backend tracking (Google Analytics, Firebase, Webtrekk, Piwik or other), plus Tag Management solutions (Google Tag Manager)
  • Comfortable in ambiguity, shift priorities quickly, while maintaining a high degree of organization
  • Proficiency in at least one data querying language (MySQL, Hive, PostgreSOL, Exasol etc.)
  • Experience in self-service and reporting solutions (Tableau, Google DataStudio, R Shiny)
  • Hands on experience with one scripting language (R, Python, Javascript, etc) (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of data methods and understanding of data integration (ETL, data schema, data modelling, data pipelines) (nice to have)
