Who are we ?
We are eBay's Marketing Tech team which is responsible for building world class platforms and algorithms powering eBay's outbound traffic and advertising. This team focuses on building platform solutions that integrates with various external partners to reach out to users with contextual messages through various channels (Email, Push notifications, Search, Social, Display etc) .
What will you be doing ?
In this role, you will be a part of the team which is responsible for designing and developing new Marketing Platform which will integrate with various marketing channels. We offer a highly collaborative work environment where accountability, innovation, and initiative are valued and best practices, coding standards, and a test driven attitude are leveraged to produce software of the highest quality.
Detailed Job Duties:
Design and develop application features based on a rapidly changing business strategy and new partner API enhancements.
Build distributed and scalable systems to integrate with various external Paid Search and Paid social patterns
Solve real-world problems with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark and others
Collaborate with engineers, scientists, product owners, QEs and business operations teams to develop and support strategic and tactical solutions.
Focusing on scaling and enhancing the existing platform with maintainability in mind.
Rapidly prototype new features and then harden them for our Production environment.
Candidates must be flexible, adaptable, and able to autonomously manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Sound understanding of OOP, design patterns and Web services
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop & Spark
Enjoys working in an agile development environment with aggressive release timelines
- Strong design skills, attention to pixel-perfect detail, and the ability to turn concepts and sketches into beautiful design
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team and work across teams.
- Proven track record of getting stuff done.
- BS in computer science or related field with 5+ years of related programming experience or MS with 3+ years of related experience.
- Previous experience working Google Adwords, FB Ads Manager and Paid Marketing domain is preferred
