StubHub International is a dynamic and rapidly growing business unit with presence in over 40 markets. We are looking for a Finance Manager to join our Finance Operations team in Bilbao, helping manage the marketing portfolio across the International business and being a strong finance partner to the International CMO, local marketing teams and country managers as well as Business Development. The candidate will directly report into the Head of Finance Operations at StubHub International and work closely with the broader Finance organization as well as Analytics. The role focuses on driving financial processes and decision-making through standardization and simplification of reporting, forecasting and analysis. Successful candidates will offer strategic perspective, sound business judgement, deep analytical capabilities and collaborative working style. This role offers the candidate a unique opportunity to learn more about the international ticketing business, manage multiple stakeholders across a wide marketing portfolio (multiple domains and channels), while operating in a high growth and complex business.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Support the heads of Marketing and Business Development as a strategic thought partner and provide accurate and insightful financial analysis to enable key decision making
-Manage the various marketing channel across the markets and regions and ensure accurate tracking and forecasting of all marketing spend
-Be a relevant business partner to all stakeholders across the marketing org (local marketing / country managers, channel owners, etc) that helps guide decisions and resource allocations by providing a clear understanding of the -“ROI” of investments and business strategy: ability to challenge based on trends and variance analysis
Provide marketing reporting to the CMO and drive analysis of cost trends and articulate how these relate to business metrics
-Support long-term strategic planning process; create clear financial models, forecasts and communications for the business
-Coordinate with other finance organizations (e.g., accounting, FP&A and analytics) to ensure alignment
-Communicate the risks, opportunities and drivers of forecast variances in an insightful way to facilitate timely and informed decision making
-Continuously identify opportunities to automate and streamline processes to reduce cycle time and churn in all operations planning processes
-Provide monthly reports comparing actual trends against budget and forecast assumptions to the regional marketing managers
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 5+ years' of relevant work experience in finance or accounting roles
• Strong analytical capabilities ; experience in marketing or partnerships a plus
• Result driven, strong sense of initiative and autonomy, a self-starter.
• Able to organize work load to get to results
• Ability to cooperate closely with peers at the office and around the globe.
• Capacity to develop a clear understanding of the business needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Experience with SAP, BPC, or similar financial planning and reporting tools, as well as Excel, PowerPoint
• High energy and a desire to work in a results oriented, fast growth, team oriented environment
• Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment while juggling multiple responsibilities
• Strong project management skills
• Strong communication skills, experienced in collaboration, and emotional intelligence
