Purpose: Own and be accountable for technical pre sales and the development, planning, and delivery of an optimal integration solution with newly acquired merchants across a geographic portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing relationship and resources of service provider, accountable for day-to-day operations.

  • Use centrally built and maintained standard methodology, process flows, collateral and the eBay Partner Program to define, sell and deliver an optimal integration solution to newly acquired merchants.

  • Lead interaction with the merchant to review integration options and identify optimal solution considerate of merchant’s technical and process landscape, IT roadmap, internal resource capacity and capability.

  • Facilitate commercial, technical and financial decisions with regards Merchant’s chosen technical solution to trade on eBay platform and secure up front merchant commitment of funding or resourcing.

  • Project manage the implementation of the integration solution whether through API, proprietary eBay middleware or external technical partners / full service providers.

  • Ensure solution delivery is timely, on budget and high quality.

  • Build out the network of eBay partners that can provide high quality, efficient integration options for our merchants.

  • Own the relationship with all 3rd parties and develop commercial and operating efficiencies in line with business growth.

Knowledge & Experience:

Essential:

  • Experience in sophisticated technical project management and consistent record of success.

  • Demonstrable experience in selling, implementing and managing ecommerce processes, technologies and supply chain management solutions.

  • Specialist in technical sales and solution engineering.

  • Good understanding of online marketplace and current / emerging landscape of ecommerce systems and solutions.

  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.

  • Comfortable dealing with people at all levels.

  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Rigorous management and use of customer contact data.

  • Proven enterprise / virtual team management.

  • Strong in concepts, problem solver whilst a proven operator with a focus on solutions and outcomes.

  • Fluency in English

Desirable:

  • Detailed understanding of eBay/PayPal products and services.

  • Additional languages

  • Experience of retail procurement processes

  • On-line enterprise commercial experience

  • IT technical/e commerce capability
