Role Description
In this role, you’ll be responsible for helping to define and build the business positioning of the NA Ads Commercial GTM team, while ensuring alignment with the overarching Ads strategy, the Ads Product and Engineering org.’s roadmaps, and the specific region’s corporate priorities. You’ll be accountable for evaluating business and monetization models for potential new ads products in NA, as well as understanding potential impact on monetization of existing products. Additionally, acting as the primary point of contact between the Commercial Business Unit and the Ads Product & Engineering organization for annual planning and product development process will be key.


You will also be the owner and facilitator of the Feedback loop for product development and release, and get feedback from the regional business units.


Responsibilities:
● Tackle hard, ambiguous questions with rigor and independence, owning projects from problem definition to final recommendation
● Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to develop business models for various initiatives and the annual ads product planning cycle
● Enable strategic decisions by crisply framing a problem space, potential paths, and tradeoffs
● Evaluate white space business, product, and partnership opportunities aligned with eBay Ads Core strategy
● Frame questions, analysis and meaningful and unbiased decision points for executives / stakeholders to make informed, efficient decisions
● Define and track KPIs for strategic initiatives and assess business & financial impact of KPIs
● Partner closely with Ads GTM teams to better understand the customer journey and eBay Ads’ adoption, gather best practices, conduct analysis and ultimately determine how to apply these learnings at scale into the Go-to-Market model
● Conduct research, develop analysis and synthesize learnings to create and support recommendations that drive change to the sales model or in support of
strategic GTM programs and transformation initiatives
● Identify issues and challenges related to sales strategy projects, and drive timely resolution
● Perform analyses for ad-hoc strategic and operational projects
● Manage initiatives with cross-functional and global partners (i.e. EU Commercial, product managers, engineers, marketing, finance etc.)
● Develop business recommendations and leading cross-functional project teams
● Create strong partnerships with cross-functional operations team including Finance, Legal, Recruiting, and HR
● Help eBay Ads decide where to deploy its resources to reach each region’s Commercial BU’s annual goals
● Partner with the Ads Core teams (Strategy and PMO) on:
● Clearly defining opportunity and risk of eBay Ads’ current and future product, customer, and geographic footprint, helping us to spot trends with impact on
eBay Ads’ overall strategy
● Work with the eBay Ads’ leadership team to ensure the company is positioned to execute on its strategy in the near- and long-term
● Build thought leadership on the future state of the industry (e.g., the future of commerce + media + consumers) and potential impact to eBay Ads’ overall
strategy
● Champion within Ads and eBay
● Refine data gathering process for competitive intelligence & introspective to focus on the most relevant data in the most efficient manner
● Develop data repository for competitive intelligence
● Partner with eBay Ads Core to define engagement model ensuring strategic planning processes are connected & aligned

Minimum qualifications:
● 10+ years of experience in B2BC marketing or “one-to-many” consumer marketing
● 4+ years of e-commerce, direct and performance marketing, and / or D2C marketing experience
● Distinctive problem-solving, strategic and analytical capabilities with a strong track record of setting and delivering against measurable metrics.
● Strong communication skills in both business and technical stakeholders, as peers and upwards, on cross-functional teams
● Ability to work on multiple, simultaneous programs that require both strategic thinking as well as high-speed tactical execution
● Experience working with consumer-facing product and engineering teams
● Experience planning and buying media - SEO and other direct performance, co-op, shopper and ecommerce, and digital brand-building
● Experiencing establishing executive-level relationships
● BA/BS

● A proven track record of successfully delivering across teams and with external partners to solve hard problems
● Excellent critical thinking skills, with the ability to lead structured problem-solving for the team
● Understand markets, competition, and how to use core proficiencies to create defensible strategies
● Experience in developing business recommendations and leading cross-functional project teams
● Experience in managing global initiatives with cross-functional partners (i.e. product managers, engineers, marketing, finance etc.)
● Experience in the media industry
● Self-motivated, highly analytical, data-driven, embody a high degree of ownership, and relationship-building skills
● Highly organized, strong multi-tasking skills, and be efficient in ambiguous situations
● Detail-oriented with the ability to see the bigger picture and prioritize for the long-term
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
