We are looking for a top-tier quality assurance engineer to join us in expanding and maintaining our global assisted-selling service. You’ll need to help build test suites covering everything from a stunning desktop and mobile UI to the network of backend microservices and data stores at the heart of our system.  Our system must be capable of handling millions of requests and parcels with >99.9% uptime.  Join a committed, friendly dev team as we leap-frog eBay from where it has been to where we all know it can be.

Excellent problem solving skills.
BS/BA in CS or related field. MS/PhD preferred.
Extensive experience with large horizontally scalable distributed component architectures including distributed databases and large web/SOA application architectures.
Familiar with performance, flexibility and capacity implications for various distributed architectures.
Demonstrated extensive technical leadership in large cross-functional projects.
Experience developing and testing Soap, XML, and RESTful web services written in Java.
Familiarity with JUnit and Java-based applications.
Experience with continuous integration test environments (like Hudson) and automation frameworks like Selenium, WebDriver, and TestNG.
Experience working on Windows NT and GNU/Linux systems.
Experience with Oracle RDBMS; ability to read and write SQL queries.
Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, and Ruby.
Ability to design and implement test cases for large multi-component products across multiple resources and parallel development tracks.
Problem solving skills using programmatic solutions.
Ability to communicate effectively with application and platform developers, as well as release management.
Ability to understand and articulate how changes in technology impact customer experience
Ability to lead the test effort and define a strategic testing approach.
Quality Assurance background with JUnit, Code Coverage (Emma), mock concepts, and static analysis.
Exposure to testing applications that work on Big Data environments like Hadoop is a plus
Experience in Agile Testing practices is a big plus
Experience with agile development methodologies such as Test Driven Development, Scrum, and Kanban.
Good understanding of web services and SOA related standards like REST/OAuth/JSON.
Experience with Jenkins Pipelines.
Familiarity with Openstack.
Work with engineers, team leads, and managers to build and maintain automated testing frameworks in a polyglot environment (including Java, Scala, Node.js), while interfacing with internal RESTful services.
