This Compensation Manager will be a member of our global compensation team, responsible for leading compensation benchmarking and market research process and supporting compensation programs and systems that eBay uses to reward its 12,000+ employees in 30 countries around the world. This full-time role will report to the Director, Compensation Programs & Market Intelligence.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead compensation benchmarking and market research process to ensure eBay market competitiveness; manage survey provider relationships, participate in compensation surveys, perform survey job matching, and conduct ad-hoc benchmarking and market research

  • Analyze internal and external compensation data. Prepare analysis, data modeling, and costing in support of salary increase budget, promotion budget and salary range development

  • Collaborate with Compensation Partners in the development and administration of eBay’s job architecture

  • Support eBay’s global compensation programs, which impact more than 12,000 employees in 30 countries around the world

  • Support the communications and change management roadmap for our People team, Finance, Payroll managers and employees on compensation-related programs

  • Participate in the development of training materials for our managers and employees globally, and responsible for the compensation content on our employee portal

  • Contribute to various other projects and initiatives pertaining to global total reward programs and practices

Job Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills

  • A passion for accuracy with a sense of urgency

  • Specialist in data analysis

  • Able to adapt existing subject-matter and technical knowledge to new environments and priorities

  • Comfortable working with and analyzing large quantities of data

  • Experience managing enterprise compensation systems

  • Process improvement attitude

  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growing environment

  • Strong customer focus and partner closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, cultivating strong relationships

  • Computer Skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Experience working with Workday and Tableau preferred

  • BS/BA or equivalent plus 5+ years of compensation experience

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
