Profile Description:

We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineering Lead to join our team in San Jose. The role will be primarily focused on leading and developing service oriented applications. Ideal candidates should be tech savvy and keep themselves up to date with the latest technology. It is expected that the candidate will have solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, especially on SDLC in distributed applications. It’s essential that you will have strong software development experiences with SOA, SOAP web services, Restful APIs, and messaging solutions. This position would be a best fit for someone who has been a technical lead in the past in the development of complex distributed systems. You are expected to be self-motivated, produce high quality work and have strong communication skills in addition to being comfortable working in a matrixed environment, collaborating across globally distributed teams.

Primary job Responsibilities:

• Solution evaluation on open source and commercial SOA solutions

• Participate in technical design and implementation to support company’s business and technical initiatives.

• Responsible of software design, technical documentation, code review.

• Join Scrum team and attend daily project standup meetings.

• Mentor junior software engineers.

Job Requirements:

• BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, CIS, EE, or related field

• 14+ years of experience in requirements analysis, design, coding and unit testing of scalable, distributed, fault-tolerant applications

• Expertise required in object-oriented design methodology and application development in Java and J2EE, including Spring, Hibernate, servlets, JDBC, XML, XSL

• Expertise in unit test, code coverage process, pipeline setup.

• Hands-on development experience with J2EE application

• Experience with database and SQL, preferably Oracle

• Proven experience in developing web services and RESTful APIs / micro services

• Extensive knowledge on SOAP, WSDLs, XML, and related Web Services concepts

• Test Driven development

• 9+ year experience in leading medium-to-large project development

• Proven track of success with strong focus on high velocity and high quality

• Familiar with Agile/Scrum

• Good communication skills

Basic Qualifications:

• Work with team on messaging-based distributed applications
