The Role:

We are looking for a Sr. Retail Marketing Manager to work within eBay’s North America Marketing organization to lead go to market strategy and flawless execution of retail moments and vertical specific campaigns.

This person will manage a team of (4-6) Marketing Managers and work cross-functionally to develop strategic marketing plans (including media strategy, creative strategy, and learning agenda) and provide oversight for marketing execution (including email, onsite, paid media, incentives and more).

Responsibilities:

  • Provide thought leadership for marketing strategy, cross-channel go-to-market plans and a marketing learning agenda
  • Manage a team to deliver on plan, champion high employee engagement and mentor career development plans
  • Cultivate environment of innovation to solve business challenges and increase customer engagement
  • Ensure ideal customer experience through customer feedback, oversight on end-to-end QA process and continuous monitoring
  • Oversight of end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns, from campaign planning and execution to results and implications; includes sharing information with other regions for quick-follows
  • Collect information and partner with analyst to advise partners on results, make data driven decisions for continuous improvement and identification of new opportunities
  • Develop cross-functional and media partnerships to identify new opportunities and drive continuous innovation

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years of proven experience in go-to-market planning, paid media strategy, and/or full funnel marketing with some of that time specific to retail marketing
  • 3+ years experience in managing people
  • Shown success in a fast-paced, matrixed work environment, as well as the ability to thrive in a dynamic, constantly evolving, and highly competitive industry
  • Performance focused individual with experience working from concept to completion, dealing with ambiguity and working toward clarity, while maintaining high quality in outcomes and a strong sense of accountability
  • Project Management expertise; strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to plan and prioritize
  • Ability to establish relationships, collaborate and influence across all levels, functions, geographies - internal and external
  • Effective communication skills in large and small settings, solid understanding of the media industry tracking capabilities, and be very comfortable with Excel and Google Docs (primarily Slides and Sheets)
