FP&A Description

We׳re looking for an enthusiastic and experienced FP&A analyst to join us! This key position will be responsible for overseeing and managing one of eBays’ groups’ budget and expenditure providing ongoing forecast, resource tracking, business insights, high quality deliverables, and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Build and maintain the group budget, expenditure, and financial forecasting process and provide monthly and quarterly reports along with insightful performance analysis.

  • Trusted adviser for group management, providing business insights, high quality deliverables and recommendations

  • Take a proactive approach to defining and developing comprehensive Key Performance Indicators (KPI), metrics, reports, and dashboards, and updates of monthly key metrics reports.

  • Collaborate with key partners to address and resolve issues that impact financial results as well as with business and functional teams to provide fact-based recommendations that improve operating efficiency.

  • Review, maintain and provide insights of group KPI’s on a monthly basis

  • Proactive control of budget vs. Actual

Perform root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data, then assisting the Operations team on improving processes

  • Support annual budget, planning, and forecasting

  • Support vendor management processes

  • High level of integrity and able to handle sensitive data

  • Increase efficiencies and bring value by helping to simplify processes, accelerate automation, and enhance analytics and business support

  • Research and track vendor productivity in order to identify issues, trends, and efficiency

  • Other ad hoc requests from the business as needed

Job Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

  • At least 5 – 7 years of relevant professional experience in an FP&A function in a global multinational company

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics/Accounting/Business Management

  • Strong analytical mind, result oriented, with exceptional attention to detail

  • Efficient and creative problem-solver, comfortable with ambiguity, complexity, and nuance

  • Excellent knowledge in Excel

  • Highly organized, accurate with a strong ability to work in a high paced environment and under a tight schedule

  • Ability to work independently, high delivery, and self-driven and to adapt to a fast-changing environment

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various levels of the organization

  • Excellent English – writing and verbal skills

  • Ability to manage large amounts of data, summarize key concepts and articulate appropriately

Desirable:

  • Experience with Business Objects, Tableau, or other analytics tools

  • Knowledge of financial and management accounting.

Advanced Excel Required

  • Proficiency in Pivot Tables, sophisticated formulas, array formulas, and macros

  • Ability to creatively implement advanced formulas to automate and add process improvements

  • Some VBA knowledge is an advantage
