About the team:

Our team oversees all aspects of eBay’s finance, analytics, and information technology functions – including controllership, procurement, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. At eBay, we love data, so finance plays a critical role in establishing strategic focus, enabling growth, ensuring execution and driving efficiencies across the organization.

Role description

  • Manage in preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting package on strategic investments and fixed income investments for internal and external reporting purpose

  • Lead monthly treasury close process, including prepare journal entries, facilitate internal management reviews with different finance functions across all treasury related activities

  • Participate and lead cross-functional business initiatives on treasury areas

  • Coordinate with external service providers and auditors on financial reporting, system implementation and other matters

  • Build and maintain effective SOX control procedures and documentation over treasury financial reporting process

  • Bring additional value by identifying opportunities to increase team productivity and troubleshoot issues proactively

  • Willingness to learn and gain expertise in Fx accounting, debt and equity investment accounting.

  • Experience with Quantum or other Treasury system is preferred.

  • Participate in team’s priorities and day-to-day operations with a goal to create efficiencies and building processes for scale and growth

  • Ad-hoc requests for special projects related to treasury activities as assigned

  • Preferred experience with ASC320, ASC321, ASC323, ASC326 and ASC815

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or with an emphasis in accounting)

  • 3-6 years of accounting experience: public accounting and corporate accounting both preferred

  • An eagerness to learn and take on challenges in a rapidly-growing and dynamic environment

  • High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects.

  • Excellent communication skills, and proven ability to work with limited supervision.

  • Collaborative team player; ability to work with cross-functional teams
