We play an instrumental role in connecting people with the things they need and love, anytime, anywhere. The Americas help deliver a personalized shopping experience and flawless access to inventory from down the street and around the world, as well as tailored shopping experiences, including customized buying and selling. eBay seeks to drive growth into new markets and drive value in the shopping and selling experience through “building, accelerating, and redefining.” The team is comprised of marketing, merchandising, operations, business selling, consumer selling, and shipping. Our responsibilities include all aspects of the region including operations in the US, Canada and Latin America.

About the team:

Our team is responsible for all aspects of eBay’s finance, analytics, and information technology functions – including controllership, procurement, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, audit, mergers and acquisitions, and investor relations. At eBay, we love data, so finance plays a meaningful role in establishing strategic focus, enabling growth, ensuring execution, and driving efficiencies across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the product vision and strategy for Information Technology Applications
  • Work with global partners (like Human Resources, Communications, Finance, Technology, Operations, Compliance, & InfoSec) to understand business requirements and craft the product roadmap for a suite of platform products, and define key success metrics
  • Assess new opportunities and develop alignment around these
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers and designers
  • Collaborate and build executive alignment for your vision

Qualifications

  • Customer oriented: able to understand and predict customers’ needs and deliver value through technology.
  • Long term thinking: should have a long-term view of IT products needs
  • History of optimally launching and scaling platform products
  • Team Management: ability to manage and mentor a team of product managers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has a perspective that will challenge the status quo and raise the bar.
  • 8+ years of product management experience working in an agile environment.
  • Technical and analytical background.
  • Strong track record of execution.
