About the Team

The Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (Corp FP&A) team is responsible for the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for eBay. The budgeting process is all about setting the targets for the company to operate towards, the forecasting process is about figured out how the company is pacing against those goals, and the reporting process is about packing that information to consume for internal and external stakeholders.

The Corp FP&A team partners with the most senior leadership in the company to manage the strategic, operation, and financial processes that surround these activities to run the company on a day to day basis as well as to communicate and partner with external stakeholders (e.g., investors and rating agencies). In addition, we have responsibility for the financial support of global functions which provide services to eBay’s Platform or Regional business teams, (e.g. Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, etc.). As the business evolves, the global function teams must adapt to new business needs and new key areas of focus and the Corp FP&A will support and partner with the global function teams in these efforts.

About the Role

The Finance Analyst, Corp FP&A will play a significant role in supporting financial planning and analysis processes, external reporting, and partnership across the organization while implementing FP&A best practices, procedures and processes. The position is based in San Jose and reports to the Sr. Manager, Corp FP&A

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Treasury and Accounting teams to manage all FX forecasting, reporting & analysis activities
  • Provide finance support for central cost planning
  • Support CFO, Investor Relations and other business leaders with Earnings preparation and ad-hoc requests
  • Identify and lead initiatives to continuously improve, automate and scale forecasting and reporting tools, processes, and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Business / Accounting, or related
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of related finance experience
  • Prior FP&A experience in a matrixed or multi-national organization
  • Proven experience in e-commerce or consumer internet a plus
  • Consistent record of outstanding performance at all professional and educational career stages
  • Excellent MS Excel and financial modeling skills, proficiency with MS PowerPoint
  • Excellent analytical thinking, technical analysis, and data manipulation skills
  • Experience with enterprise financial planning systems (preferably SAP, BPC)
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • High energy and a desire to work in a result-oriented, dynamic, fast growth environment
