About the team

The Seller Marketing organisation is key in eBay’s transformation away from an account manager based relationship with few selected sellers towards scaled broad seller management and communication through CRM tools and multi-channel Marketing automation.

You will partner with trading teams, journey managers & engineering teams to build up a campaign measurement framework and embed a test & learn cycle into the campaign operations through rigorous A/B testing.

This role will focus on evaluating go-to-market performance, generating analytical insights to identify opportunities, challenge and influence the campaign prioritization and design. This position requires strong collaboration with business stakeholders in both the immediate team and wider organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Link input metrics to GMV & return on investment through transfer functions to guide prioritization & GTM optimization across the seller lifecycle

  • Build and own analytic tools such as marketing funnels, seller segmentations and drive their adoption with partners across the organisations

  • Be responsible for the Finance relationship with leaders of the Seller Marketing organisation and hold them accountable on campaign performance

  • Engage with partners in global Trading & Product teams to educate them on how we help them and take their input on prioritization to guide GTM execution

  • Work with Engineers within our data infrastructure teams to improve tracking & contact data quality

  • Develop seller targeting models that optimize channel outreach and timing of marketing communications

  • Run regular cadence of reporting on global seller performance providing commentary and insight to country, regional and global leaders

  • Involve in budget allocation and steer the resource prioritization to be aligned with global initiatives

Around 6 -8 years work experience with a BS/BA degree (or equivalent) in Statistics, Applied Econometrics, Math, Physics, Computer Science, other related Core Science.

Strong communication skills and experience of distilling and communicating sophisticated analyses into action-oriented recommendations to leadership is a must. Building excellent relationships across all areas of the business will come naturally with a curiosity and passion for problem-solving. Your work experience will mean that comfort with ambiguity, balancing multiple responsibilities plus leading and inspiring others.
