Investments Treasury Analyst

Would you like to join an innovative, data-focused team?!! We're looking for a results-oriented, analytical, Investments Analyst to join eBay’s Global Treasury Investments team, reporting to the Director of Investments. With your pulse on the global investments markets and economic conditions, you will help drive credit analysis related to the investments portfolio and provide trade support to the Portfolio Manager. This role requires you to have a fundamental understanding of the capital markets, be skilled in excel and to analyze various investment portfolio trading opportunities. This Treasury position creates numerous opportunities to partner with a diverse, broad-based team, and provides excellent personal and career development opportunities to become proficient in Treasury and Investments.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for investment analysis and underwriting of the investment portfolio
  • Perform ongoing ad-hoc quantitative modeling of market dynamics and portfolio stress tests
  • Work closely with the team to source investment ideas and execute trades
  • Complete written investment memos and quarterly reviews
  • Partner with the treasury organization to understand cash uses and sources and impacts to building a maturity profile that provides liquidity for the company
  • Develop a deep knowledge of fixed income securities and the credit analysis process
  • Partner with Treasury units (Cash Management, Corporate Finance, and Investments) to build a comprehensive interest income forecast
  • Ability to learn and assist in other Treasury-related functions as needed

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or other quantitative field preferred
  • 3-5 years performing investment analysis or working within a Corporate Treasury or Finance organization
  • Strong financial and analytical background; able to analyze data, recognize patterns & trends from discrete data points, and concisely tell the story
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to understand a variety of business processes and operations
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including experience building financial models, pivot-tables and VBA experience a plus
  • Passionate about developing new, more efficient solutions to existing processes
  • Ability to work with others in a closely collaborative team environment and evolve with organizational changes

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with automation, coding or SQL

Experience with Bloomberg, Bloomberg analytics and other research databases
