The Role and Opportunity

The Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Product Management team defines and builds features that optimize the way search engines crawl, index and rank eBay pages. We help our customers easily find and reach relevant eBay pages when searching on search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. With literally hundreds of millions of products listed on eBay globally at any time, the scale at which eBay has to consider search engine optimization puts the SEO team in a unique position to innovate, scale, and provide immediate value to the business. The SEO Product Management team works closely with Product Development, Data Science, Quality Engineering, Design, and other cross-domain organizations to build scalable and highly-available business solutions that are used by millions of eBay users across the globe every day. We are responsible for driving organic traffic that represent billions of dollars worth of goods and services bought on eBay.

This position will be based out of San Jose.

Primary Job Responsibilities

We’re seeking a Product Manager who can help us build data-driven SEO solutions, with a focus on creating the right navigation experience for buyers who are browsing on eBay. This role requires someone who has a large appetite for building out new business ideas from the ground up - this means that they are able to bring structure and simplicity to complicated problems. The ability to bring about positive work culture changes is also desired. This role will work directly with many partners both within and outside of the SEO team, so great communication skills are required.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related major preferred.
  • Data-driven.
  • Appetite to learn about SEO.
  • Great communication & people skills.
