The Customer Service group builds and maintains a suite of systems covering the full application stack - frontend (desktop and web) applications, middleware such as rules engines, integrations into other core eBay systems and more. These are essential to our delivering a flawless customer support experience.
We have agile, highly collaborative, high-performing teams, deeply committed to nimbleness and technical excellence. To support our current systems and help drive future transformations, we are seeking an enterprise architect who has the requisite design experience across the full stack and “hands-on” experience in closely collaborating with the team to actually realize the architecture.
Technologies We Use:
·.Net Framework, WPF, ReST, Java
·Use established and new design patterns to create robust, modular, scalable technical designs that address requirements provided by the Product Team
·Continuously collaborate with and guide engineers to ensure designs are successfully implemented
·Continuously stay informed on industry direction, incorporate relevant patterns into solutioning
·Collaborate with other enterprise architects to maintain a view into other ebay systems, factor in other systems’ evolutionary direction into design decisions.
·Code solutions when needed
·Maintain appropriate technical and business documentation
·Mentor new engineers as required
What We Look For:
·Bachelor’s Degree; preferably Computer Science major or equivalent experience
·Experience in architecting Windows desktop applications using MVVM & WPF
·Experience in architecting data and integration-centric applications
·Current coding experience in .Net and/or Java
·Experience in handling multiple simultaneous, shifting priorities
·Excellent technical and analytical skills coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills across organizational layers and teams
·Good leadership and motivational skills, engaging with senior engineers, gaining the team’s trust and helping realize architecture
