Lead Product Manager - APAC

Location: Shanghai

The International  Product Team is looking for a talented Lead Product Manager to help develop and drive significant growth in the APAC region.  You will have the opportunity to build a regional team.

Day-to-day responsibilities include: ideating new product features to achieve business (and outcome) driven results, driving scrum team(s) to execute your roadmap, partnering and coordinating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Customer Service, Partnerships, Business teams) to organize new product/feature launches, analyzing the performance of our experiences and leveraging data/insights for optimizing the product experience. Reporting to the Director of Product - International, you will be a key member of the International Product team and can have an immediate impact helping to drive our fastest-growing segment of the business.

This role offers the opportunity to:

  • Drive user experience updates that have significant impacts to the APAC user base of the world’s largest ticket marketplace

  • Drive what our customers see and how they interact with StubHub

  • Influence decisions on how we stitch the StubHub technology, brand, content, and customer experience together in our products to best serve our customers in APAC

  • Strategize industry trends within the e-Commerce/m-Commerce and ticketing industries

What we're looking for:

  • Define granular product requirements in an Agile manner (user stories), and partner closely with Engineering, UX/UI, and QE to drive sprint planning, story prioritization, product backlog grooming and roadmap creation

  • Account for, and own, the business and product Key Performance Indicators for the APAC region (Sales, Conversions, Engagement, etc.), and be responsible for implementing tracking capabilities to monitor the performance of your products and features launched in on-going basis

  • Specify, prioritize, and communicate high level and detailed product specifications through user stories, business rules and flows, and user experience generated deliverables such as wireframes/design/prototypes and copy documents

  • Conduct frequent product demos with key regional stakeholders and create monthly updates on new features or performance improvements impacting the APAC region

  • Develop Go-to-Market strategies alongside Product Marketing team to launch new products and services. Basic understanding of App user acquisition strategies and standards is necessary

  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance the user experience and bring the voice of the customer into the process

  • Build and communicate presentations (and other documents) to leverage the information you possess to drive decisions, achieve goals and create shared understandings amongst other groups inside the organization

  • Utilize strong market, data and statistical analysis skills and apply these skills to resolve strategic business and product questions, product design and technical issues

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects across cross-functional, distributed teams and multiple client groups

  • Work closely with North American, EMEA and LATAM counterparts as a subject matter expert for the APAC region

  • Originate, collect, and synthesize product ideas from customers and cross-functional peers

  • Partner closely with Product Analytics team for data insights and action plans

  • Feel energised about full end-to-end product/line lifecycle ownership

  • Work with development engineering in assessing and choosing third-party technology solutions to meet business case and time-to-market requirements

  • Monitor industry innovations in conjunction with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities

  • Manage & mentor other Product Managers on the team, and assist in developing core competencies and applying previous learnings and/or experiences to assist them in successfully delivering on their projects/goals

  • Recruit and hire best in class Product Managers within the APAC region

Role Requirements - The Basics:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience

  • BS Degree; MBA and MS a plus

  • Experience in the APAC ecommerce industry with multiple successful product launches under your belt, ideally including more than one regional market

  • Must be effective at decision making, navigating ambiguity and brokering tradeoffs

  • Skilled at engaging and inspiring your colleagues to build the best possible products for our customers

  • Experience setting product vision, roadmapping, goal setting, user story writing, managing project execution, A/B testing, working closely with UI/UX, and defining product roll-out strategy

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate and present everything from early concepts to full product launch plans  to your team, as well as to external and executive audiences

  • Empathy for our customers (both internal and external) and desire to understand their needs, wants and concerns

  • Experience with international scalability, expansion and experiences a plus

  • Knowledge about the entertainment, concert, sports or ticketing industry in general is a plus
