eBay's Marketing Technologies team, is a vital part of eBay's marketing efforts. This team brings millions of new and existing users to the eBay site every day, and drives billions of dollars of sales annually on eBay. We operate one of the largest and most complex marketing campaigns in the world. We blend science and art to promote hundreds of millions of products listed on eBay and optimize ROI daily for the ever-changing inventory in the eBay marketplace.

Responsibilities:

·Provide thought leadership and expertise through knowledge of the current product, industry trends, competitive landscape, business performance, user feedback etc.

·Identify opportunities to apply data science and machine learning to drive relevant and cost-effective marketing.

·Synthesize and drive product strategy from interactions with business stakeholders, engineering, data scientists, peer product teams, and other cross-functional teammates.

·Initiate and prioritize projects within engineering by translating requirements into prioritized user stories with clear done criteria.

·Track product development and create product launch plans.

·Own the product, its ability to deliver business results and the quality of the end-to-end experience.

·Represent and evangelize data science for Display, Social and Partnership channels through communication and presentations of the product, its features, functions and ROI.

·Influence and manage relationships with technical and sales partners at major internet publishers/partners.

Job Requirements:

·Extensive product management experience with a track record of launching successful products in previous roles.

·Knowledge of machine learning and data science techniques and experience in applying them to products at scale.

·Strong technical background and technical skills to drive an agile development team.

·Experience with agile software development methodologies, sprint/release planning, and software delivery.

·Passion for internet marketing with an understanding of at least one of the following - display advertising, paid social, affiliate networks, paid search, or email marketing.

·Proven ability to direct a larger cross-functional team to execute on the long-term vision, by creating the team’s strategy, operational plan and detailed product roadmap.

·Track record of doing what it takes to execute a variety of complex projects. No task should be too small or too big.

·Creative and entrepreneurial spirit, with an ability to identify new solutions to take your product to new heights

·Ability to switch between high-level strategic thinking and detailed-oriented tactical execution.

·Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills

·Ability to effectively influence others, particularly in other organizations.

·Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present to internal and external audiences.

·Relevant degree and 6+ years related professional work experience.

Education

·Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required in a related field

·MBA is a plus
