As Head of Product Management, you’ll lead a large cross functional team to develop and execute our strategy for marketplace promotion and advertising services to merchants and brands.

The Role

Advertising at eBay is a multidisciplinary craft, involving a wide variety of on-site and off-site advertisers, merchants, content, promotions, and products. You will be the senior director of product management for global advertising and will be a key leader in the strategy and delivery of innovative advertising experiences that help eBay customers engage with great brands and products from eBay sellers and marketers around the world.

This leader will be responsible for the management of the product team which includes the leadership of leaders across the globe while being the compass for a group of talented individual contributor and finally, recruiting the future generation of product leaders.

You will be hands-on in the formulation and execution of our strategy with a constant obsession to define and solve customer problems.

This role will require exceptional leadership skills and an understanding of how to manage a large and diverse group of highly talented individuals through a period of significant company momentum and growth. This leader will prize collegiality and collaboration, encouraging such a culture among team members and peers. Contributing to a team culture focused on delivering great ad products and exceeding growth goals, but always and without exception with eBay users’ best interests in mind is critical.  This leader will report to the Vice President of Advertising Product and Engineering.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead our strategy and execution for our marketplace advertising and promotion services to merchants and brands, helping them grow their audiences and improve their sales velocity capabilities

  • Be a problem solver when it comes to support the product management team

  • Build a moonshot factory culture in close partnership with Engineering leadership

  • Innovate and re-inforce the discipline of our product operations, from roadmap to sprint reviews

  • Collaborate with senior leaders across eBay’s management team to align plans with partners in the core product and technology teams and also, within the ads teams across functions: marketing, operations, sales, and strategy.

  • Own a product portfolio and hold accountability for its performance while defining our forward looking

  • Continue to weave DE&I into the fabric of the eBay business – from recruiting and developing talent to empowering small businesses on the platform.
