Manager, Buyer Experience - eBay Refurbished

eBay verticals teams play an instrumental role in connecting people with the things they need and love, anytime, anywhere. We help deliver a personalized shopping experience and seamless access to inventory from down the street and around the world. Opportunity:

As a Program Manager on the eBay Refurbished team, you will develop and executive the strategy towards improving the end to end buyer experience for our fast-growing refurbished business. The ideal candidate should be capable of diving deep to clearly understand buyer insights and use a combination of outstanding thought leadership, analytical skills, cross-functional partnership, business judgment, and strategic thinking to define the program requirements and processes that will enable our sellers meet buyer expectations and succeed in this space. You will constantly look for opportunities to improve buyer experience. You will strongly advocate on behalf eBay buyers to influence both the business and program roadmap. You will be responsible for building and managing the seller level performance metrics, that will enhance both the perception and experience of refurbished products to our buyers. This is a highly cross functional role, needing you to build and manage relations with cross-functional stakeholders and secure alignment to prioritize on the top opportunities. You will support the management team in the achievement of corporate objectives, making eBay the go to destination for refurbished products, for both buyers and sellers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and execute the vision to drive the trust and experience of eBay buyers for refurbished products.

  • Define and track measures of success and rapidly iterate to ensure we are prioritizing the right things for our buyers and sellers.

  • Interact with stakeholders at multiple levels and dynamically lead business and product teams to define and deliver solutions to establish product quality standards and processes.

  • Identify and analyze data as needed to isolate issues, develop solutions and prioritize opportunities.

  • Create, maintain, and disseminate information to partners and senior management.

  • Remain flexible to changing priorities, open to new ideas.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of proven experience in program or product management, preferably in an e-com operations, marketplace, digital platform, or retail environment. Startup experience valued.

  • 2+ years of experience working cross-functionally with product management, program management, and analytics teams

  • Communication and presentation skills, inventive at communicating simply and effectively in large or small group settings and at various levels

  • Analytical and quantitative skills

  • Proven track record of taking ownership, data-driven decision making and driving results

  • Ability to think both strategically and tactically with strong attention to detail

  • Proven analytical skills and is able to define & clearly articulate success by metrics and data driven measurements

  • Phenomenal interpersonal and communication skills

  • Self Starter - Ability to work effectively in an autonomous fashion, and willingness to enable the success of partners worldwide

  • Project/Change Leadership - Has successfully taken ownership of project timelines and multi-task management

  • Demonstrates a strong sense for doing the right thing for our customers

  • Experience with senior leadership and ability to deliver executive level summary reports and presentations

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Experience working in a e-commerce, marketplace, retail or operations environment required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, operations, engineering or Data Analysis certification preferred
