We are seeking an experienced Account Manager that can build significant connections and relationships, establish long-lasting partnerships with our sellers, and engage in consultative sales conversations.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop account plans and cultivate relationships to generate improved return on investment and retention of sellers.
  • Execute on account plans by identifying and prioritizing the most important tasks that contribute to revenue growth and retention goals.
  • Follow up on inbound requests of dealers on eBay and help them grow their business through eBay
  • Outbound outreach to sellers who are under performing and/or at risk
  • Proactive, outbound training of top spending accounts
  • Create engaging conversations with the dealerships in order to obtain buy-in from the dealerships of the recommendations made.
  • Reactive support of sellers when needed
  • Most work is completed via phone, but also includes significant correspondence by email and periodic overnight travel for dealer visits
  • Account Managers are expected to operate as eBay Motors Marketplace experts aware of major trends and initiatives within the automotive industry and the region where the dealer is located.
  • Capable of identifying industry and eBay trends, and translate that into recommendations for the eBay Motors marketplace and their assigned accounts

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree or college diploma with 3-5 years’ related experience
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
  • Shown expertise in negotiating complex, commercial/advertising negotiations
  • Work history must demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism, with a proven track record and experience with C-level professionals
  • Deep analytical capabilities
  • Enthusiastic and energetic, proactive
  • Experience with marketing CRM tools like Salesforce and Pardot
