The Americas help deliver a personalized shopping experience and flawless access to inventory from down the street and around the world, as well as tailored shopping experiences, including customized buying and selling. eBay aims to drive growth into new markets and drive value in the shopping and selling experience through “building, accelerating, and disrupting.” The team is comprised of marketing, merchandising, operations, business selling, consumer selling, and shipping. Our responsibilities include all aspects of the region including operations in the US, Canada and Latin America.

We are looking for an Account Manager, Sneakers to join our Verticals team at eBay. If you have a love of sneakers and sneaker culture, an ownership approach, are able to build meaningful cross-functional relationships, and are ready to make an exciting move, we would love to hear from you!

The Opportunity

The role is to contribute to the Sneakers category strategy and implement this through working with strategically important sellers, brands, and retailers to ensure that eBay has the inventory and end-to-end experience to grow the business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and coordinate internal efforts to coach, service, and grow high value accounts.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with Product, Marketing and Customer Experience team in order to support Sneakers Account Management success
  • Utilize internal relationships to drive Seller and Account Manager initiatives within the Sneakers category
  • Diagnose, track and tackle technical account challenges - Operate as the Point of Contact for technical issues
  • Work via in person meetings, trade shows, video meetings, phone calls and correspondence by email
  • Evaluate category selling activity to ensure listing retention and increase revenue and gross monthly volume

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in account management, merchandising in retail or consumer products industry.
  • Passion for sneakers with a broader interest in Fashion & Luxury Goods; experience in the space and/or relationships with key industry players
  • Execution-driven, growth-oriented, ownership mindset to drive performance against agreed KPIs
  • Influencing & negotiating with internal & external stakeholders
  • Strong communication (verbal/phone and written): customer facing and executive level.
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Hardworking and upbeat, proactive
  • Strong analytical skills needed
  • Understanding of the eBay site and marketplace dynamics - experience buying and selling on eBay.
