About the opportunity

We are looking to hire a Strategic Account Manager for the Business & Industrial vertical. This role will support and grow our largest accounts across a variety of verticals, including healthcare, foodservice, MRO, and others. The ideal candidate is a seasoned account executive who operates with a customer first mindset and has the strategic and project management capabilities to drive long term, sustainable growth for the seller in the context of eBay’s marketplace business.

This role will be located in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor, service, and grow high volume accounts, including serving as the point of contact for key accounts, coordinating issue resolution and growth initiatives both internally and externally
  • Work via phone, video meetings, and correspondence by email in addition to occasional travel to meet with sellers directly
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Product, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams in order to support account management success
  • Monitor account business activity to ensure retention and increase revenue and gross monthly income
  • Efficiently utilize CRM and account performance tracking tools
  • Become a subject matter expert in market dynamics that impact key accounts within specific Business & Industrial segments

Requirements

  • Experience in business to business relationship management in a previous account management or sales role required
  • Strong communication (verbal/phone and written): customer facing and internal executive level
  • Strong analytical reasoning; ability to use data to explain performance, trends, and areas of opportunity
  • Ability to respond quickly and flexibly to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated self-starter mentality with ability to push projects forward independently
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, taking a project from idea to full implementation in a large complex organization
  • Ability and willingness to travel to meet in person with accounts (up to 25% of month)
  • Excellent working knowledge of the eBay site and marketplace dynamics
  • Previous experience in healthcare, foodservice, or MRO markets highly desirable
