Are you an experienced product manager ready to take the lead in growing our Jobs product offering? Do you have experience in combining strategic focus with hands on execution?
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager. Reporting into the Head of Product - Horizontal and based in our Richmond office you will have significant experience of either in a C2C e-commerce or marketplace environment and have a proven track record of delivering meaningful product impact across both native app and responsive web platforms.
You will be able to communicate as effectively with engineers as you do with business and commercial stakeholders and are comfortable moving from strategic discussions to writing precise acceptance criteria. You will leverage your Agile / Lean product management experience to test, learn and iterate as part of a cross functional squad.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Develop a robust product strategy that maximizes user impact and business value while also asserting influence in strategic decision making across the wider team
Make the ‘right’ decisions by leveraging rigorous analysis and expert knowledge of the business strategy, user needs, market movements and competitor research to build a strong, defendable product roadmap
Prioritise development work to maximise the efficiency and impact of product / feature improvements, without losing sight of the long term vision
Taking responsibility for how:
Take responsibility for the delivery and quality of product improvements using lean and agile methodologies. Participate in daily development stand-ups, conduct demos, share progress etc
Help identify and remove obstacles to the team proactively, making sure the team functions effectively
Instill a ‘user centric, data informed’ mentality within your team and create an environment where assumptions are identified, constructively questioned and validated before decisions are made
Embody principles of lean & agile product development, define and implement effective experimentation methodologies to minimise ineffective activities
Give the team clear focus and define quarterly OKRs. Actively measure and analyse existing products, keep up to date with market trends and identify opportunities to innovate and improve
Driving alignment and getting buy-in
Align with the leadership team on business priorities and strategic goals, linking these to the day-to-day work of your team
Build strong working relationships with other technical teams, business functions and other departments in the wider eBay Classifieds Group organisation
Work collaboratively with other connected teams, for example Marketing and SEO
Communicate progress and impact effectively and consistently to all stakeholders while also managing the internal brand of your team across the wider organisation
Motivate your team by giving them context and understanding of why they are working on a given feature and how their work impacts others in the business
Experience & Qualifications:
You have 5+ years experience in digital product management in an agile environment
Consistent track record of building “best-in-class” products across responsive web and native apps with experience of C2C or B2C eCommerce or Marketplace products
You have worked extensively on features related to searching or browsing while considering SEO opportunity
Excellent communication skills. You are logical, articulate, and can work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders
Great commercial awareness. You think constantly about driving business results, and base your decisions in data, user interviews, and rigorous analysis
Fluent in English and eligible to work in the UK
