eBay is seeking for a B2C Business Development Manager who will work in the Business Development Team. The team has the objective of extend eBay’s reach, from crafting strategic deals with big ecosystem players to put in place programs to successfully recruit small and medium sellers. Our goal is to rapidly increase eBay’s footprint, deliver significant business growth for our sellers and offer all the inventory our buyers expect.

Responsibilities:

  • Build Business Development strategies and value propositions for target prospects

  • Develop creative solutions to identify new prospects and build a strong pipeline

  • Partner with the Vertical Industry teams to understand inventory gaps and align on strategy to close inventory/supply gaps

  • Deliver pitches, through business meetings and one-on-one conversations to strategic selling partners

  • Negotiate and close contracts with new key sellers as needed per company guidelines and policy

  • Build trust and long-term relationships with new customers

  • Lead reporting on progress throughout the BD process

  • Research the latest trends in the main industries and create new opportunities to expand business

  • Attend networking events and conventions

  • Craft and develop acquisition programs target to mid and small size sellers, in partnership with global and local teams

Requirements:

  • Excellent academic background, Master’s degree or similar

  • Passion and experience in the digital industry

  • Strong proven experience in business development and strategic partnerships (3 years min), preferably with experience in e-commerce

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a natural communicator and influencer

  • Goal-oriented, project manager bringing energy and optimism to the team

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making

  • Demonstrated success partnering with diverse teams in different organizations

  • Successful candidates will be autonomous, tenacious and creative. They will quickly adapt to work in a fast paced environment where prioritizing and multi-tasking are essential

  • Proficiency both in Italian and English
