About the team:

eBay’s Authenticity Guarantee, introduced in July 2020, is a service designed to help buyers shop with confidence. Our third-party authenticators physically inspect all eligible items before they are shipped to buyers. The service is currently offered on watches, sneakers, handbags, and trading cards.. Buyers browse and shop eBay’s listings with the “Authenticity Guarantee” badge. After buying an eligible item, the seller ships the item directly to a team of qualified, professional authenticators. The authenticators thoroughly inspect and verify the item’s authenticity before it is shipped out via three-day shipping paid for by eBay. Find more information about the program here.

Job Description:

As a Senior Product Manager on the Authenticity Guarantee team, you will be responsible for delivering on the vision of the Authenticity Guarantee program by enhancing our tools platform used by our authentication partners and facilities. Key responsibilities will include providing go to market support for new category, region, and program launches, prioritizing and building new features to support partners, improve productivity, or eBay programs, and partnering with internal team members to launch new initiatives.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, ideally with a focus on B2B tools or Warehouse Management Systems.
  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, Human Computer Interaction, Operations, or Design preferred.
  • Data analysis experience and skill (SQL, Tableau, Advanced Excel).
  • Experience in ecommerce, fulfillment, or distribution.

Key skills:

  • Ability to distill business and customer requirements into technical product requirements for engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead meetings and drive agenda with both internal team members and external collaborators.
  • Capable of UI/UX oriented work and comfortable making wireframes.
  • Platform thinking attitude about how to build out new features to accomplish goals for a variety of business needs.
  • Willing to dive “into the weeds” and work through key details with engineers and designers.
  • Ability to prioritize feature requests based on business need and cost with a clear framework.
  • Ability to articulate a vision, a strategy, and the roadmap and resources required to implement.

Requirements/We need:

  • Own and deliver new feature enhancements to our authentication technology platform.
  • Work with customers, internal stakeholders, engineering, and design to define functionality and requirements.
  • Work with business stakeholders and partner organizations to help launch new categories in to Authenticity Guarantee.
  • Explore new technology such as blockchain and computer vision to enhance the authentication process and improve the customer experience.
  • Embed into the authentication operations and prioritize enhancements to save time, cost, and improve efficiency.
