eBay is looking for Android Engineer who is passionate about creating apps consumers love. This development team is located in Portland, Oregon, but we work closely with other product, marketing and biz dev teams around the world, and with many partner companies. The Senior Android Engineer will have an expert's depth and breadth of experience in Android, Java, and relevant development tools and processes, as well as significant experience with the integration of network services.

Requirements:

  • 6+ Years of software design and development experience working on a team
  • 4+ Years of experience developing commercial software with Java
  • 2+ Years of experience developing product-level Android Applications
  • Experience developing and/or integrating web services, TCP/IP and databases
  • Expertise on the Android operating system is required
  • Solid working knowledge of Android application design considerations
  • Must have good written and verbal communication skills, and work well with other members of the team and across teams
  • Experience with Java IDEs (e.g. Android Studio), profilers, debuggers, revision control systems (e.g. GIT) and bug tracking (e.g. Jira)
  • Experience developing applications on Android.
