The eBay Motors Group is a multi-billion dollar portfolio comprised of Vehicles, Parts & Accessories (P&A), Business & Industrial, Heavy Equipment and WHI (Nexpart B2B Marketplace). P&A is our largest business, with a vision to deliver "every part for every ride".

Our eBay Motors team is looking for a Head of Buyer Strategy & BPartnerships located either in our Portland office or remotely. You will be responsible for defining our long-term buyer strategy, leading strategic partnerships, and driving cross-functional initiatives. We are looking for a data-driven, intellectually curious, cross-functional team builder who will set strategic direction, monitor impact and optimize our efforts to drive sustainable long-term growth with eBay Motors buyers.

Responsibilities

  • Address strategic challenges that are critical to growing buyer traffic, transactions, and retention

  • Lead a team that manages our strategic partnerships, and enable them to expand our brand strength with buyers and industry peers

  • Act as a thought partner for Motors GMs, marketing partners, and external agencies

  • Develop executive-level content covering Motors business performance, project status, etc.

  • Partner with finance & analytics to answer strategic questions and monitor ongoing performance of key buyer metrics

  • Partner with merchandising, marketing, product and other teams to drive cross-functional initiatives that will accelerate buyer growth

Qualifications

  • Track record of strategic leadership in consumer ecommerce, ideally in the automotive industry

  • Demonstrated ability to project manage and collaborate with cross-functional partners

  • High degree of ownership and self-motivation to drive change

  • Organized problem solver who is comfortable using data to drive decisions

  • Ability to build and deliver compelling presentations that drive dialog with executives

  • Adept at applying analytical frameworks and data insights to test hypotheses and inform business decisions

  • Strong leadership skills including proven track record of building, developing, and growing high-functioning teams

Requirements

  • 7+ years of related experience across strategy, marketing and/or business development for consumer ecommerce brands

  • 3+ years at a top tier management consulting or investment banking

  • 3+ years leading external facing teams, with customers or partners

  • Consumer marketing experience is a strong plus, as well as experience in the automotive industry
