Regional Facilities Operations Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the day-to-day facility operations of our San Francisco office hard services, including: facility management, office services, project management of smaller scale facility projects (i.e. less than $250k in value); Closely partner with multiple business unit leaders, security teams, and third party vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the office; Submit, review and manage the facility expense and capital budget for the region, partnering closely with the manager of WPR Business Operations & Financial Planning; Partner with our Strategic Planning Team and understand regional business strategies and translate them to facility operational requirements; Provide quality facility services to emulate industry best practices; Proactively liaise with key partners both within the Workplace Resources Org (Real Estate, Space Planning, Design & Construction, EH&S) and across the company (HR, Finance, IT, Procurement, Legal, Brand) to ensure that facility goals and objectives are achieved; Regularly visit each location to ensure the highest levels of service; Proactively identify and recommend initiatives that focus on service improvements, cost reductions, quality improvements, risk mitigation, industry trends and other relevant factors that impact workplace effectiveness (BMS, lighting, HVAC, furniture, etc.); Oversee the efficient delivery of facility services, considering the following as performance measures: quality, cost and timeliness; Communicate with internal stakeholders & leaders to ensure alignment and smooth execution of facility projects on time and within budget; Develop & implement standardized/best practice facility management processes to create long term efficiencies; Partner with the eBay Green Team providing energy data and ensuring a focus on the environmental standards; Ensure a managed approach to receiving & resolving workplace maintenance & service complaints; Ensure industry-leading training & development of the regional facility operations team.

Our downtown San Francisco office houses StubHub headquarters, along with multiple eBay business units and is at the forefront of world-class office facilities. We are now seeking a Regional Facility Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our San Francisco office and regionally for our, Brisbane, CA, Portland, OR, and Seattle, WA offices and to lead a high performing and diverse operations team, reporting to the Head of Americas Facilities Operations.

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Extensive management experience in the following: staff development, outsourcing and contractor management, building maintenance
  • Extensive knowledge of financial management practices and budget planning procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership experience including managing teams and leading change management, and managing crisis situations (i.e. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity)
  • Demonstrated success building teams and managing across multiple locations
  • Proven ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior management, managers, customers, suppliers and contractors
  • Demonstrated skill delivering strategic approaches, with agile execution while supporting growth
  • Demonstrated skill at delivering to performance objectives, for scope, schedule and cost.
  • Ability to respond to sensitive issues and interface with senior leaders
  • Staff management experience (performance & development) is absolutely required
  • Communication: demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in verbal and written form
  • Interpersonal: demonstrated ability to listen to others to understand their perspectives, to define and communicate objectives and programs effectively, and persuade vendors and contractors to perform to meet commitments
  • Substantial staff management experience for large, multi-location and varied-functions
  • Commitment: self-motivated and performance driven; coupled with the willingness to take necessary actions to deliver on commitments
  • A persuasive and credible communicator who earns the trust of colleagues and senior management
  • Excellent collaborator: capable of working with others to find solutions to complex problems
  • Exceptional negotiator: experienced in a variety of services & contract types
  • Effective vendor management: focused on the delivery of excellent customer service
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Head of Americas Facilities Operations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS degree in Facilities Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Design or Business
  • 7+ years of facility management experience, with experience managing facilities for a technology company preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of direct staff management experience, preferably in a fast-paced, technology focused office environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Facilities certification (CFM, FMA, RPA, LEED, PMP certifications)
