About the Team:

You will be joining a dynamic organization where you will find yourself surrounded by sharp professionals with a diverse set of backgrounds, operating in a fast-paced, intellectual, and team environment. Reporting to the Director, Indirect Tax, this is a highly visible and impactful role where you will be handling US marketplace tax collection issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage various indirect tax aspects of our global businesses
  • Collaborate and coordinate with various business resources, other tax functions, and external tax advisers
  • Deliver timely and accurate indirect tax advice to business divisions
  • Advise on inter-company relationships and transactions
  • Manage the indirect tax aspects of new country expansion
  • Implement, review and optimize SAP processes dealing with indirect taxes and reporting
  • Manage and participate in development of software solutions for indirect tax automation
  • Collaborate closely with finance / shared services in respect of issues identified during indirect tax compliance process (e.g. incorrect invoice postings)
  • Assist with developing training material to be deployed to key functions within the business
  • Coordinate with third party advisors, as required, who may assist in managing all or some of the above

Job requirements:

  • Familiarity with the indirect taxation trends of the digital economy
  • Excellent knowledge of sales and use taxes in the United States as well as knowledge of global VAT systems.
  • Experience with indirect taxes in other regions desired
  • Experience with indirect taxes pertaining to financial services desired
  • Up -to-date on current sales and use tax practices and technical issues
  • Strong project management and organization skills
  • Capable to working independently while acting as part of a global tax team
  • Working experience in multinational environments
  • Confidence, poise and diplomacy when interacting with all levels of management and tax authorities
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a concise manner in both written and verbal presentations
  • Demonstrated passion and track record of delivering results in a constantly evolving business environment
  • Strong client focus; good listening, negotiation and problem resolution skills
  • A great sense of accuracy
  • Strong issue identification and mitigation skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of indirect tax experience
  • Currently holds a similar position or is an Indirect Tax Analyst/Senior Analyst/Manager at an accounting firm
  • Fluent in English - other languages helpful
  • Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Tax, Legal, or Accounting; advanced degree a plus
