We are currently seeking an experienced International Logistics Manager who is interested in disrupting global shipping and making international commerce seamless for buyers and sellers. The qualified candidate will bring their logistics experience as well as program management expertise to build world-class international transportation solutions and supply chain capabilities.

You will be responsible for managing 3P vendor relationships within the cross-border supply chain, from the domestic shipment through delivery to the international buyer. This includes improving existing capabilities, as well as innovating with new logistics designs that deepen our supply chain capabilities, providing buyers and sellers with a frictionless cross border experience. You will also be responsible for managing 3P vendors and partner teams across tech, operations, customer service, and finance, taking into consideration current and future network capabilities and constraints. In addition, you will work with business teams to understand underlying attributes that are required to meet required service levels and cost goals to drive adoption of our services.

Key Responsibilities:

3P Vendor Management

  • Lead provider performance for customs technology, screening hub, and transportation solutions

  • Orchestrate all logistics activities related to ensuring the consistent flow of goods and international delivery services from sellers to buyers. This includes optimizing service and cost through transportation management from origin to the consolidation center, accurate and timely customs clearance, brokerage distribution operations, outbound logistics, export procedures, and returns processing.

  • Ensure 3PL and transportation provider service level and pricing agreements are met through monthly KPIs and quarterly business reviews

Process Efficiency

  • Optimizing supply chain to improve speed of delivery and drive cost reduction

  • Tracking key customer experience metrics and driving improvements

  • Analyze shipping performance and trends per country and region

  • Keep line of sight on business operations, initiatives, priorities, and goals for the international transportation program

Compliance

  • Develop and manage compliance program, including audit program to ensure 100% compliance with eBay policies, US export regulations, and destination country’s rules and regulations

  • Partner with screening hub and transportation providers to manage shipment exceptions, damages, and losses

  • Work with screening hub, transportation providers, and customs authorities to ensure implementation of preventive and corrective action plans

  • Partner with customs technology provider to improve restrictions and HTS code prediction accuracy

  • Maintain and revise standard operating procedures on an ongoing basis to keep current

Escalations

  • Build and maintain a log of escalations

  • Work with customer service to ensure timely resolution of customer compliance issues and complaints

Customers

  • Assist and train customers in implementing international shipping programs within their listings and store fronts

  • Work with internal vertical teams to increase international shipping by reviewing and implementing potential new categories into international shipping programs

Basic Qualifications:

5+ years of supply chain and/or logistics related experience.

3+ years experience in vendor management.

Problem solver, dynamic, positive, professional and enthusiastic “can-do” attitude candidate that acts with urgency and efficiency.

Strong understanding of supply chain management challenges in cross border shipping, including customs and delivery cycle.

Demonstrated ability to apply critical thought to develop, recommend, and implement strategies.

Strong project management, organizational, analytical and presentation skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to respond effectively to inquiries from various levels of management.

Strong ability to follow procedural guidelines and respond to and/or research vendors concerns/ inquiries with urgency and accuracy.

Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to communicate and present complex issues in a clear, accessible and impactful manner.

Ability to manage deadlines and accurately process data under time limited restraints.

Strong ability to exercise good judgment, initiative, and assertiveness.

Preferred Qualifications:

INCOTERMS, import/export and international transportation experience is a plus.

SQL coding and reporting language preferred.

Microsoft Office proficiency, specifically Excel pivot table, charts and macros.
