The Role:

As Lead Product Manager in eBay Stores team, you'll be responsible for leading definition, design and delivery of the products that we build to help our sellers acquire new customers and retain old ones - via eMails, social media etc. You will develop the product strategy around ‘seller driven traffic’, and work with your team of product managers, engineers, analytics, design, regional partners and with our seller community to help define the key set of product capabilities that will make us the platform of choice for our existing sellers and new ones.

You’ll,

  • Lead a product team
  • Become an expert on seller’s needs and pain points w.r.t customer acquisition and retention on a marketplace like eBay, through planned discovery and self learning
  • Work with analytics, design and engineering teams to build products
  • Work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical, user and business worlds
  • Drive a comprehensive roadmap to deliver high quality feature improvements and new products that provide value to our buyers and sellers
  • Deliver on the most effective set of product solutions and go-to-market strategy for eBay customers.
  • Build and foster relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Work with partners to define, build and launch products and platform features
  • Understand and synthesize data to make informed decisions and monitor change performance
  • Drive a culture of quality, customer-centricity, scalability, and reliability

  • Exceptional problem solving. Be solution oriented, focusing on how to resolve a problem, rather than what isn’t working
  • A Self-Starter. Seek out new opportunities, don’t shy away from challenges, and bring your energy and enthusiasm to the office every single day.

You Have:

  • At least five years of industry experience in product management or a related role
  • Experience working on frontend/ UI products and working closely with analytics and design teams and iterating based on user feedback and behavior. Ideally you have built products for small businesses.
  • Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results
  • History of building strong relationships with engineering, business partners, and operational users.
  • Comfort sorting through ambiguity in order to drive to practical business impact
  • Work with the larger cross-functional team to define the product strategy, business strategy, operation plan and detailed roadmap
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile teams is desirable
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis - ie able to work with analytics partners to determine what tracking is needed, how the results will be reported etc
