About the team:

We play an instrumental role in connecting people with the things they need and love, anytime, anywhere. The Americas help deliver a personalized shopping experience and seamless access to inventory from down the street and around the world, as well as tailored shopping experiences, including customized buying and selling. eBay aims to drive growth into new markets and drive value in the shopping and selling experience through “building, accelerating, and disrupting.” The team is comprised of marketing, merchandising, operations, business selling, consumer selling, and shipping. Our responsibilities include all aspects of the region including operations in the US, Canada and Latin America.

As the Marketing Manager, you will have a unique opportunity to own campaigns —from strategic development to briefing to execution to optimization to reporting! The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This role will require changing direction and needing to pivot quickly to respond to business demands. You will partner closely with cross-functional planners and subject matter experts to concept and deploy focused, strategic campaigns, owned and paid, onsite and offsite, to drive awareness and engagement on eBay.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Day to Day contact for the vertical to execute against marketing strategy.
  • Lead the execution of plans that map back to the vertical strategy and deliver the optimal end-to-end customer journey.
  • Develop quarterly marketing plans for vertical to support strategic priorities
  • Lead development and coordination of campaigns, both pre-planned and opportunistic
  • Own marketing strategy and briefs, guide creative development of campaigns
  • Partner with planners, channel owners, and vertical specialists to coordinate end-to-end support and an outstanding customer experience
  • Execute ops processes to traffic and QA your campaign
  • Own reporting and metrics

Skills & Experience

  • Consumer marketing experience in ecommerce, peer-to-peer marketplace, or start-up environment
  • Foundational knowledge of social, email, digital, media, and content development
  • Customer-centric, change agent, agile, disruptive and innovative in approach
  • Execution-driven mindset, managing performance against established KPIs
  • Strong sense of ownership to drive campaign development with relative autonomy and efficiency. Ability to deal with ambiguity and driving clarity/action independently; independent, self-starter approach to work.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to source inventory, channel support, and creative assets
  • Effective communication in large or small group settings
  • 3-5yrs experience in campaign management
  • Experience with online retail marketing campaign development and deployment
  • College degree or relevant training
