Principal Product & Business Strategy Manager, B2C Selling

Position Summary

Our B2C sellers make up the lion’s share of our business and in this role you will help them grow their business in a streamlined, consistent, and profitable way. In today’s fast-paced ecommerce environment, that means staying close to our customers, being agile, being bold and driving change through test & learn methods. The experiences you will be responsible for include registration, onboarding, product listing, seller hub and the policies on the platform that impact them day to day.

What You’ll Do

Strategy Definition and Prioritization

  • Identify and address seller improvement opportunities and define the vision and north star
  • Set objectives and critical metrics for the B2C seller experience
  • Prioritize areas of focus in 2022, 2023

Business case

  • Build the case for change and assess the short and long-term impact to P&L

Own the roadmap

  • Develop roadmaps to deliver what our B2C Sellers need most (e.g., smooth onboarding, easy listing management, efficient shipping, seller protections)
  • Own the end to end experience and go to market

Teamwork

  • Collaborate with partners (product, design, analytics, finance, marketing, risk, trust, legal) on shared strategies and goals and champion seller experiences
  • Lead by example in collaborating with teams while maintaining a high bar for execution

Results and Accountability

  • Define the goal and outcomes you intend to drive
  • Design to drive these outcomes
  • Measure and report on the progress to the wider organization and executive leadership

Who You Are

Experience

  • Proven leader who has shipped end to end experiences at eBay’s scale with minimal guidance and high attention to detail
  • Experience in pitching to executives, as well as business, product, monetization and policy teams

Attitude

  • Committed, independent, self-starter comfortable with accountability and ownership

Skills

  • High level of comfort with analytical approaches and quantitative methods
  • Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant ecommerce experience, e.g., Product Management, Management Consulting, Business Strategy, Seller experience
  • Experience with Agile product development
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus
