Sr. Manager - Accounting Policy

  • Assess key accounting issues by identifying, analyzing, evaluating alternatives and providing the most beneficial solution within the US GAAP framework and accounting standards yet meet the business requirements and prepare support for any areas that require judgments. 
  • Proactive and creative approach, strong problem resolution skills with ability to research and simplify complex subject matters.
  • Assist in structuring transactions (such as transfer of assets, equity investments, M&A) to maximize operating and accounting goals.
  • Partner and coordinate cross-functionally to understand business transactions and effectively communicate accounting issues with various departments throughout the company. 
  • Write issue memos and white papers describing the USGAAP, IFRS or local accounting impact, as applicable, and how they apply to the Company. Formulate and maintain accounting policies as necessary.
  • Manage the conclusions with external auditors and business owners.
  • Assess implications of new accounting standards and implement new standards for the Company globally by partnering with controllership, systems, SEC reporting, tax and other constituents.
  • Demonstrate ability to build relationship and work effectively cross functionally and with remote team members/internal customers.
  • Present and assist in special projects for the VP Chief Accounting Officer, the CFO and other members of senior management.
  • Provide global training on key accounting topics
  • Assess key accounting issues and assist in structuring transactions, primarily related to transfer of financial assets, equity investments, M&A, Forex and Interest rate hedging, to maximize operating and accounting goals.
  • Partner and coordinate cross-functionally to understand business transactions and effectively communicate accounting issues with various departments throughout the company. 
  • Write issue memos and white papers describing the USGAAP, IFRS or local accounting impact, as applicable, and how they apply to the Company. Formulate and maintain accounting policies as necessary.
  • Manage the conclusions with external auditors and business owners.

  • Provide global training on key accounting topics
  • 5+ years Fintech or Payment processing industry, corporate treasury experience preferred
