Team Overview

People Technology Solutions (PTS) team is responsible for the service delivery of Human Resources technology used across eBay. We are not the typical HR systems/HRIS team. We prioritize our employee’s experience in everything we design. We deliver solutions through teamwork and innovative thinking. We are committed to being champions of the employee experience as we use technology to bring awesome experiences to life for all eBay employees.

We engage with partners in People (HR) team, other corporate functions, 3rd party service/solution providers and various IT teams to deliver new technology capabilities, improve existing technologies and support delivered solutions. Our technology portfolio comprises of Workday HCM products at the core and ancillary SaaS solutions and custom solutions.

What You Would Do | Responsibilities

The People Technology Systems Sr. Manager will have both individual contributor and team manager responsibilities.

As the leader of the team responsible for recruiting and onboarding solutions, you would:

  • Deliver innovative products and solutions that solve complex business problems in the recruiting and employee onboarding space
  • Track operational metrics and be accountable for maintaining the service levels of delivered solutions
  • Anticipate & recommend technology solutions and innovation opportunities by understanding business challenges and strategic & operational priorities
  • Work with key partners to prioritize technology investments and build business cases to secure funding
  • Lead a team of People Technology Analysts, prioritize demand pipeline to set team priorities, provide coaching & mentoring in projects and day-to-day operations
  • Proactively identify and drive User Experience improvements opportunities
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams to gather end-user scenario focused requirements, design, test and implement solutions.
  • Perform Workday HCM & Recruiting business process and related configurations
  • Develop test plans and lead systems testing and user acceptance testing

Job Requirements

Demonstrated experience of implementing new technology solutions.

Ability to absorb new technologies and features quickly. Have an explorer attitude.

Foster a culture of end-user focused solution design.

Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work well under pressure, handle various tasks in a fast-paced environment with flexibility, positive attitude and a sense of humor.

Must demonstrate ownership and drive to take tasks to completion.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience interacting with internal and external partners.

Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Drive to solve complex system integration problems.

Build trusted relationships at all levels across the organization.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years equivalent experience in a related field.

8+ years of experience as an HRIS analyst and hands-on experience with HR systems.

3+ years managing employees.

5+ years implementing with Workday or other HR systems, with demonstrated technical and functional experience.

Expertise in recruiting and onboarding processes and technologies.

Expertise in Workday HCM & Recruiting business process configurations, condition rules, calc fields.

Basic knowledge of Workday security model, EIBs, reporting and dashboard capabilities.

Demonstrated experience working with business partners and end-users.

Desired Qualifications

Capable of adapting to changing situations and prioritizing tasks as necessary.

Manage unexpected situations professionally and maintain a calm demeanor in difficult situations.

Experience in business process optimization.

Workday Certification(s).

Workday API framework and partner ecosystem.
