The Buyer Experience Engineering team owns all landing experiences for eBay buyers. We drive billions of dollars in revenue via 100’s of millions of page views delivered daily across the globe, across all devices & browsers. THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager, able to drive efficiencies and streamline interwoven roadmaps in collaboration with engineering teams across Core Product and Core Technology teams. This highly visible role will support many domains, across organizations and portfolios.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Coordinating programs in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization

  • Lead and innovate operating rhythms and/or cadences for the Buyer Experience Engineering staff and extended partners

  • Improve our organizational standards and process design

  • Build frameworks to identify and drive technical and process improvement opportunities

  • Align key internal and external partners to ensure scalable solutions and excellence in execution.

  • Lead prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, schedule, performance and cost.

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, roadmap, financial, and/or technical goals

  • Ensure information about our programs and global impact is transparent at all levels: sponsors, Vice President’s and individual team members

  • Crafting and leading long-term goals

  • Developing a budget and operating plan for the program


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years of program management / continuous process improvement experience in technology (e-commerce is a plus)

  • 7+ years working in matrixed organizations across multiple product, program, business, marketing, operations, engineering organizations.

  • Demonstrated prior experience working on large-scale projects in a product context from origination to completion

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with sufficient level of technical capability to optimally connect with engineers, scope technical programs, and identify technical risks

  • High attention to detail and initiative. Ability to adapt quickly.

  • Proven track record of delivering sophisticated projects and programs with cross-functional teams

  • Ability to lead through influence, without direct authority or supervision

  • Proficiency in agile methodologies; JIRA experience vital

  • Eager to jump in and make positive change wherever may be asked of or required of you within the scope of engineering operations

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management (Preferred), Computer Science, Engineering or equivalents
