Join a global commerce leader that connects millions of buyers and sellers worldwide and empowers people to create economic opportunity for all. We are hiring a Technology Content Writer and Editor for Global Communications to lead our tech content and storytelling and drive writing and editing projects from end-to-end across our organization.

Journalism experience, particularly for a technology outlet or with a technology beat, is strongly preferred. A plus if candidates have experience working in a corporate communications team or highly-matrixed organization. Familiarity with SEO copywriting a plus.

The Technology Content Writer and Editor will report to our Senior Manager, Communications Content Studio. They will be responsible for managing timelines; implementing and evolving processes; and driving on-time delivery for key deadlines. They will also work closely with our internal teams, including Content, Product and Technology, Public Relations, Digital Channels, External Engagement, Employee Engagement, Social Innovation, Global Brand and Design.

Please submit writing samples along with your resume.

  • Strong editing and copyediting skills: Can take rough copy from employee contributors or partners and rewrite/shape into cohesive, compelling narrative

  • Identify and pitch potential storytelling opportunities in our corporate communications materials and channels

  • Experience writing in a corporate tone, ghostwriting for executives and with AP Style is a plus

  • Run all corporate approvals as needed for written content, and manage key external and internal partner partnerships to develop tailored content for owned corporate channels

  • Publish content on our owned corporate channels

  • Ensure written content meets standard methodologies in search engine optimization (SEO)

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of tech and product organizations and innovations

  • Exceptionally strong writer, editor and storyteller

  • Journalism background/experience with newspaper, magazine or blog strongly preferred

  • Highly organized, process oriented and project-management driven

  • Energized, creative, proactive and hardworking - willing to take initiative with confidence, detailed follow through

  • Flexible, agile and quick worker and writer; fast ramp-up time will be essential

  • Proven experience of building and maintaining positive and productive relationships with internal and external partners

  • Strong content creation skills: creative and editorial point of view

  • Technology savvy. Familiarity with tech writing and editing.

  • Able to harness new media effectively with a keen understanding of all types of owned and earned media/channels
