The role:

This role will lead business cadence and planning process, as well as implementing new programmatic strategic initiatives within focus categories.

Additionally, this position will be relied upon to provide thought leadership, drive value-creating insights, and influence the growth and trajectory of focus categories. It’s an agile, high impact role that is key to one the company’s top priorities.

This role will report into Neil Mackay, Director of Selling.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Define and execute a rigorous business planning and management process and cadence for our focus categories, Tier 1’s and Tier 2’s.
  • This will include tracking program metrics, partnering with analytics to ensure we are reporting on relevant metrics, drive insights and deep dive on issues to help inform decisions/ actions and focus areas whilst cutting across all focus categories
  • Develop and lead out on the creation of best practice across the teams, related to trade
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of critical path projects and critical issues and ensure timely updates on status and variations from schedule or scope
  • Guide the preparation and editing strategic and operational presentations and updates for executive reviews, and lead content, timing, and execution of trade meeting’s
  • Point of contact/gatekeeper between management team and Focus Category Leads
  • Provide additional grip for Focus Category Leads on investment and value measurement and assessment

The person:

  • 3-5 years experience in e-commerce, strategy and/ or management consultancy background
  • A strong adviser with an unquestionable personal code of ethics, integrity, and trust
  • A history illustrating measured risks taken that break down barriers and promotes new and creative ways to most expertly meet goals
  • Strategic problem solver who has an eye for detail, is organised, and can balance multiple programs simultaneously with varying degrees of ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • A natural communicator and influencer, with an ability to grasp complex technical/business concepts and express them to others in a simple, clear language
  • Consistent history of effectively interacting with senior management
  • Willingness to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Effective, versatile and willing to take action and get into detail
  • Experience leading large, complex, cross functional, multi-year initiatives
  • Validated ability to identify key program measurements and structure/lead a program to ensure achievement of established goals
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, iterative development environment
