The eBay corporate strategy team is seeking aSeniorStaff,Corporate Strategyof Qoo10. The candidate will be a creative problem solver and project leader with high levels of intellectual curiosity. S/he will work with key stakeholders from all functions across the organization to design strategies and drive structured and data-based recommendations to action. Within this role, the candidate will have the ability to influence key elements of eBayJapan’s strategy and to help shape the future direction ofQoo10. The ideal candidate has a track record of making pragmatic, actionable recommendations with real world implementation experience.

Job Responsibilities include

  • BusinessOperations &Analytics

  • Prepare and deliver executive-level presentationswithcompelling storytellingin Japanese and English.

  • Perform strategic analysis and solve problemsby utilizinglarge data sets and insights for our day-to-day operations,various business reports and public information.

  • Strategy development and execution

  • Support the development and implementation of our businesses’ strategies and long-term strategic priorities.

  • Leadand supportstrategic projectsand facilitatecross-functionalteams. 

  • Market intelligence: Develop insightful market intelligence about key industry trends (technology, competitors, consumers, and so on).

  • Strategic partnership:

  • Developsuccessfulstrategic partnershipsbyproviding research and compelling industry insights.

  • Supportmergers&acquisitionsto find key growth opportunities and driveourbusiness.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor or master’s degree

  • 3+yearsof work experienceat a strategy consulting firmor a corporate strategy positionarerequired

  • Fluentlevel ofEnglish andJapanese language skill (reading, writing, speaking) is required for this position.

  • Strong analytical andproblem-solvingskills

  • Be diverse and inclusive, andcollaboratewithpeople from widely diverse backgrounds,languages,perspectives, and geographies.

  • Capable of juggling multiple projects with competing deadlines and prioritizing opportunities.

  • Be self-driven, detail-oriented, and show ability to tacklecomplicatedproblems withhighly analyticalpath forwardin a dynamic industry and corporate environment.

Preferred qualifications

  • Experiencein e-commerce/retail,web marketing,consumer goods or internet servicesis highly desirable.

  • Deep understanding ofcorporate financeand/orstatistical analytics.

  • Experience in merger& acquisitionprocess,especially step on the buy side, searching for potential target, acquisition planningandPMI.
