As a team lead within the Global Compliance Operations team, you will play a critical role within the eBay AML Transaction Monitoring (TM) program, shaping the development of the team in Austin and globally to complete the first-level review of alerts. What You'll Do

  • Execute Transaction Monitoring (TM) procedures and review results for unusual activity

  • Act as a subject matter expert on AML Compliance Operations processes

  • Work independently while driving the Compliance Operations team to meet established SLAs and other key metrics while maintaining quality standards

  • Act independently to support other Compliance Operations teams and initiatives

  • Handle complex problems and issue resolution with minimal guidance from leadership

  • Resolve AML/KYC referrals from external payment advisors/vendors

  • Resolve eBay member account issues including reviewing appropriate documentation and ensuring compliance requirements are met

  • Act as an advisor to other analysts to problem solve issues or complex cases

  • Look for creative solutions to streamline or improve established AML/KYC processes

  • Actively document new or revised policies and procedures documents and be a key contributor in providing input on key projects and programs across the organization

  • Support the AML/KYC leadership team with special cases and projects that require extensive research

What You Have

  • 2+ years in an AML compliance operations role or 4+ years of fraud/compliance experience

  • Experience with leading a team in an agile environment, including experience with reporting on production and quality metrics

  • Extensive knowledge of AML regulations as well as typologies and red flags for transaction monitoring

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in Sanctions, Transaction Monitoring, KYC and other compliance due diligence functions

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • An ability to consistently meet all deadlines and maintain high quality output while working on multiple functions, projects and/or tasks

  • Have self-motivation to complete individual responsibilities while leading the team in meeting organizational goals

  • An ability to make independent decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures

  • Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office applications

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with an attention to detail

  • CAMS or CFCS certification is preferred
