The Job:
The Customer Service Technologies (CSTech) group supports a technology suite that are essential to our delivering a flawless customer support experience. The Teammate Tools team supports applications that enable our Contact Center agents to seamlessly access information and solve customer problems quickly.
We are embarking on a critical transformation to shift from a legacy tech stack to a microservices supported, web based solution. We’re seeking a deeply experienced senior Frontend Engineer to help this transformation. We have agile, highly collaborative, high-performing teams organized in a DevOps model, deeply committed to nimbleness and technical excellence.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the architect and other engineers to help build the future frontend technology stack of teammate tools in a modular, scalable way
Ensure code quality and maintainability by improving build and test systems
Be involved in the entire software lifecycle, from architecture through QA, deployment and ensuring uptime
Mentor other team members as required
Your Profile:
Deep knowledge of Javascript ecosystem and popular frameworks – vanilla JS, React, Node, Angular, jQuery
Deep experience in HTML 5, CSS, responsive design
Advanced understanding of design, implementation and operation of enterprise micro services and APIs, in a highly secure, enterprise environment
Experience building applications for the enterprise
Advanced knowledge of common web technologies and concepts (HTTP, DNS, REST/JSON, OAuth)
Experience working in a DevOps environment, strong understanding of CI tooling (TeamCity, Jenkins), various forms of automated testing – unit, integration and more
Java / JSP very nice to have
Strong interest in current developments and technologies within the JavaScript community
Passion for agile software development, product discovery and continuous delivery
High aspiration for quality balanced with a good sense of pragmatism
Strong communication and other soft skills that help in dealing with people
Effective oral and written communication skills
What We Look For:
Bachelor’s Degree; preferably Computer Science major or equivalent experience
Experience in handling multiple simultaneous, shifting priorities
Experience in working with globally distributed teams across numerous time zones
Experience in effectively engaging with multiple, including senior layers of organization
