eBay’s Managed Payments Global AML team is hiring a Sr. AML Compliance Manager to help grow the Payments AML program at eBay. The ideal candidate is someone who offers extensive product knowledge and expertise. This role will be responsible for providing AML guidance and defining AML controls strategy on high-risk products and services. The role includes day-to-day high-level operational execution and development of the strategic direction for teams responsible for Seller AML Risk Rating methodology and Enhanced Due Diligence issues.
Responsibilities:
Provide mentorship to business and operations teams on regulatory needs with focus on seller risk rating and high-risk products and services
Support for the ownership of the AML Product M1 which includes driving AML technology strategy with key internal partners including but not limited to Risk, Engineering, Compliance Operations and Product Management
Management of, and strategy development for, the team responsible for the seller AML risk rating (ARR) including onboarding and ongoing risk rating
Oversight for the teams providing new product guidance, focusing on process development
Coordination and alignment with regional compliance teams on global processes that support regions
Reviewing changes to BSA/AML-related laws, regulations, or regulatory expectations and ensuring that eBay implements processes to remain in compliance, including under any contractual obligations with its external partners
Supervising the effectiveness of the BSA/AML program and any corrective actions taken
Reporting to senior leadership within eBay on BSA/AML program performance
Apply in-depth AML knowledge in order to develop new functionalities that help prevent, mitigate, or lead AML risk
Utilize strong analytical skills to understand AML trends and identify and mitigate potential risks
Document and prioritize solutions for sophisticated business problems regarding AML processes
Qualifications:
8+ years of creating or designing AML programs
3+ years in a managerial role in financial services or payments industry
Significant experience and success in partnering with product and engineering teams
High level of analytical and problem solving skills
Self-starter with ability to work with limited supervision in a fast paced and agile environment
Ability to initiate and lead multiple projects simultaneously, on time, and start to finish
Ability to collaborate across functional teams from different geographies and time zones to achieve project objectives
Extensive experience driving technology solutions with cross-functional participation and support
Effectively connect with all levels of managements for presentations, decision making, and problem solving
Ability to explain sophisticated ideas in a concise and simple manner
Ability to work on confidential and critical matters with a high degree of integrity and discretion
Bachelor’s degree required, JD a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
CAMS or similar certification
Fintech compliance experience
