The Opportunity:

As the Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I), you will lead DE&I across North America. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver DEI best practices and surface gaps and opportunities to address. As a key member of the DEI team, you will serve as a DEI evangelist integrated into the business. You will report directly to eBay’s Global Head of DE&I and have connectivity to regional leadership. You will also help grow and support the regional Communities of Inclusion in partnership with the COI Program Manager.

The Role:

Strategic Partnership and Thought Leadership -

  • Build strong relationships with senior business leaders to develop a deep understanding of the business and increase awareness and understanding of DEI as a critical business imperative, and drive the key pillars of the global strategy into relevant initiatives.

  • Propose and/or develop cutting-edge DE&I programming for multiple audiences across the regions.

  • Regularly measure and analyze, highlight areas of strength and opportunity, providing consultative support to find opportunities and initiatives for continuous improvement.

  • Provide direction and leadership to team related to strategically integrating DEI and operationalizing into the business, front line, and data/information systems.

  • Represent the organization in diversity strategy efforts, ensuring awareness, involvement, and contributions as appropriate.

  • Use industry and academic insights to remain at the forefront of emerging trends and solutions.

People Team and Business Advisory Services -

  • Serve as ‘on the ground’ adviser to regional business unit leaders and People Business Partners (PBPs).

  • Serve as an advocate, mentor and resource for concerns and issues related to DE&I.

  • Use industry and academic insights to remain at the forefront of emerging trends and solutions.

Project Management -

  • Drive program objectives through program and project management, manage implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process rollout and ongoing support.

  • Define key performance indicators by developing metrics for core programs and processes, and track delivery against program objectives.

  • Supervise progress, metrics and proactively provide updates for all initiatives.

  • Clearly and concisely articulate ideas, concepts, and proposals to engage team, peers, and management.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for eBay’s purpose driven nature.

  • Proven leader, thought partner, collaborator, and change agent with a bias towards action while also demonstrating outstanding interpersonal and communication skills across an organization.

  • ​Experience working with or in support of diverse communities

  • Command of the latest DE&I concepts, challenges, and opportunities with proven success in implementing DE&I standard methodologies.

  • Excellent problem solving skills, creative thinking and the ability to articulate a vision and operational priorities cross-functionally.

  • Strong program and project management, organizational and facilitation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, ambiguity, and concurrent projects from concept to completion

  • Proven abilities to be resourceful and a self-starter.

  • Solid attention to details with the ability to traverse macro and micro details seamlessly.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal skills

  • At least 6 years of experience in scoping, designing, and implementing DE&I programs in sophisticated, fast-paced and global organizations.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (graduate degree is desirable).
